Overview

Alectinib 150mg Capsule is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer that has spread from your lungs to other parts of your body and is caused by an abnormal anaplastic lymphoma kinase ALK gene.  Alectinib 150mg Capsule contains the active drug alectinib, which is an ALK inhibitor. It shows its action by blocking receptors found on cancer cells eventually inhibiting the growth of cancer cells. This type of drug is commonly used to treat specific types of cancer. Alectinib 150mg Capsule comes in the form of capsules that are taken orally twice a day with food.

How Does Alectinib 150mg Work?

When taken with food, Alecensa reaches peak concentrations approximately 4 hours after dosing. It is metabolized by CYP3A4 to the active metabolite M4. Alectinib 150mg Capsule targets downstream communication and protein signaling that results from ALK phosphorylation and ALK-mediated activation. This is how Alectinib 150mg Capsule inhibits the growth of cancer cells.
