Perjeta injection is a target therapy medication that is used in the treatment of HER-2 breast cancer. The generic name of this medication is Pertuzumab 420mg and it is an antineoplastic agent. Pertuzumab 420mg Injection is a prescription-based medication that should be administered by a doctor or an experienced nurse.

Pharmacodynamics

Pertuzumab functions by interfering with the HER-2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor-2) which is a tyrosine kinase receptor and is involved in the proliferation and differentiation of cells. Blocking HER-2 stops several pathways that may be necessary for the growth of cancerous cells and also it induces cell death of the abnormal cells. In addition, Pertuzumab 420mg is also responsible for cytotoxicity.
