THORACIC DRAINAGE CATHETER

It is used to remove air in the case of pneumothorax or fluid such as in the case of pleural effusion, blood, chyle, or pus when empyema occurs from the intrathoracic space

 

Features :

 

  • Super Smooth Kink Resistance tubing ensures a uniform flow rate.
  • Catheter Without Trocar:- Atraumatic, Soft Rounded, Open Distal end with six lateral eyes for non-traumatic insertion.
  • Catheter with Trocar:- Atraumatic. soft rounded, open distal end with two lateral eyes for non-traumatic insertion.
  • Cross-side eyes to prevent tissue aspiration.
  • The proximal end is fitted with a tapered connector for easy connection to the drainage bottle.
  • An X-ray opaque line is provided throughout the length of the catheter.
  • Marking on the catheter is provided from the distal end to help ascertain placement.
  • Available with DEHP-free material.
  • Size: 08, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18. 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 34, 36, 38 & 40FG
