Overview Of Armotraz 1mg Tablets
Armotraz 1mg tablets is a hormone therapy medicine. It is used for the treatment of breast cancer in post-menopausal women. The generic name of the medication is Anastrozole and it is a competitive non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor.
Estrogen influences the uncontrollable growth of breast cancer cells. This estrogen in post-menopausal women is synthesized by converting androgens to estrogen by using the aromatase enzyme. Therefore, Armotraz is a non-steroidal inhibitor that competitively binds to the enzyme and stops the conversion to estrogen. As a result, it suppresses the growth of tumor cells.
